By joining this team. You made a commitment to the next chapter of your life. Now it is time to insure it. Your commitment to yourself, your new partners, Symmetry Financial Group, your future clients are all secondary to the commitment to provide for your family.
Insurance at the core is covering for a known event. Death. All of us will face it. None of us knows the when or the how. We are going to invite you to take care of yourself by getting some good coverage on yourself. Not only will you get some coverage put in place, you will get appointed quicker with these carriers.
We recommend writing a policy with two of our core carriers within your first two weeks. Why? Life happens and life ends. Watch the video if you haven't. We recommend an inexpensive accidental on top of a term or whole life which we do with a majority of our clients. It is an added value. How much coverage you get depends on your needs just like our clients. We are a big advocate of the "practice what you preach." We have insurance because we know life is short sometimes tragically shorter than expected.
How much you need is up to you! If you have a mortgage then you could write enough to cover that expense. If no mortgage, what would you need to pay off all your debts, burial expenses, and leave your family debt free?
For full life coverage, assuming you are healthy and under 60 then consider getting a 15 or longer year term. We recommend if a home owner American Amicable's Home Certainty or Forester's Strong Foundation.
If you want a permanent policy then we highly recommend American Amicable's Dignity Solutions or Family Legacy. If a non-homeowner then look into either American Amicable's Term Made Simple or even Forester's Strong Foundation. Accidental accounts for about 1 out of every 4 deaths. We sell a lot of Mutual of Omaha's accidental called Guaranteed Advantage or Foresters' Accidental called Prepared II. Foresters policies come with some really awesome benefits since it is fraternal organization.

Various Tips
Learn and practice the cornerstones. See above.
Reach out to your mentor (you can do it daily) and provide your status updates. Read the Agency Handbook, it gives you a roadmap to success. Mentors are not mind readers and honestly that would be kind of freaky if they were.
Be communicative. Our model works best for people that catch the vision and make it their own. Join a workroom even if you are in pre-licensing and communicate on Slack.

Want the real secret to success?
Don't tell anyone but here is the secret. Show up early, stay late, reach out to others, reach up to those that are currently at the destination that you want to arrive. 99.9% got there by reaching out and learning one little trick that pushed them further along. It's not easy, but if it were then this would only be worth about $9.95 an hour. You are worth so much more than that or we wouldn't have invited you on our team.
